Less than two weeks into the new year, many CEOs have already earned more than the average worker takes home annually. Apple CEO Tim Cook is one such example, and he just received his largest bonus ever. In fiscal year 2018, Apple's market capitalization temporarily exceeded one trillion US dollars, and it posted record revenue and profits. This resulted in a $12 million bonus for Cook, in addition to his $3 million salary and $121 million worth of stock.
According to Bloomberg, his bonus was tied to revenue and earnings targets, both of which were 16 percent higher than the previous year. This followed Cook's largest bonus payment in 2017, when he took home 9.3 million.
