Cloud computing is considered the most important technology of the near future from the perspective of executives. This is according to the IBM C-Suite Study , which surveyed 5,247 C-level managers (CEOs, CFOs, etc.) from 70 countries. The surveyed executives attribute similar importance to mobile technology and the Internet of Things. All of these technology areas share a strong connection to the internet. In contrast, topics such as new energy sources or biotechnology appear to be less on the radar of the surveyed top managers.
