Red Dead Redemption 2, one of the most anticipated video games of the year, has had a tailor-made launch. As Rockstar Games, the development studio behind Red Dead Redemption, announced last week, the Western-style open-world game generated global sales of $725 million in its first three days of sales, making it the second-best start of all time. Grand Theft Auto V, also from Rockstar Games, broke the billion mark within three days in 2013 and has sold more than 100 million copies to date.
