The Bellefield project will include a 1 GW solar power plant with up to 1 GW of battery storage. The battery can store excess solar energy generated during the day and release it at night or during periods of high grid demand to ensure a steady supply of carbon-free energy for more hours each day. Bellefield will be able to generate enough energy to power 467,000 California homes annually.
