The prevalence of IoT devices is increasing. The Internet of Things simply means that electronic devices are connected to the Internet. In this case, not PCs, smartphones and the like, but household appliances, thermostats or cars.
The number of users is definitely increasing, as the graphic from Statista shows. As the Deloitte Mobile Global Consumer Survey 2017 shows, connected wireless speakers are the most popular, especially thanks to music streaming. 17 percent of those surveyed use them, compared to only eight percent in 2015. Fitness trackers are also becoming increasingly popular. 13 percent of those surveyed said they monitor their health and sports activities with one.
