The use of IoT devices is increasing. The Internet of Things (IoT) simply means that electronic devices are connected to the internet. In this case, however, it doesn't refer to PCs, smartphones, and the like, but rather to household appliances, thermostats, or cars.
The number of users is definitely increasing, as the Statista graphic shows. According to the Deloitte Mobile Global Consumer Survey 2017 , networked wireless speakers are the most popular, primarily thanks to music streaming. Seventeen percent of respondents use them, compared to only eight percent in 2015. Fitness trackers are also enjoying growing popularity. Thirteen percent of respondents stated that they monitor their health and sports activities with one.
