The Internet of Things is on the rise. This will create a new billion-dollar market. Our graphic illustrates the expected growth. According to the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, the total market could be worth around $1.8 trillion in 2020. Machine-to-machine devices would then have the largest share with revenues of around $950 billion. In 2013 it was around 225 billion. Consumer electronics is currently the top segment, but according to the Finnish university, growth will be lower there.
