Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon and Facebook are among the largest companies in the world. Together, the five tech giants generated almost $650 billion last year. The graphic shows which products and services they owe the majority of their sales to. This shows that not all companies examined are equally dependent on their main source of income. Facebook generates 98 percent of its sales with advertising - in contrast, software is “only” responsible for 62 percent of Microsoft sales.
