In Germany, 51 percent of companies have fast Internet access, i.e. a fixed broadband connection with a contractually agreed data transfer rate of at least 30 Mbit/s. This means that German companies are roughly in line with the EU average, as the graphic shows.

However, there is still some way to get to the top of the rankings. A full 75 percent of Danish and Swedish companies have a fast broadband connection, in the Netherlands it is 70 percent and in Portugal 69 percent.
