1. Storage of heavy loads

Thanks to the development of new, more robust shelves, the Shuttle XP 1000 model can now accommodate loads of up to 1,000 kg at a width of 1,250 mm and up to 800 kg at a width of 4,050 mm. This corresponds to a total storage capacity of 120 tons per vertical storage unit; a value that represents a doubling of the payload compared to previous systems.

2. Flexibility in storing parts of different sizes

Within a single vertical storage system, it is possible to use trays with different load capacities. Besides reducing acquisition costs, this tray mix allows customers to handle both heavy goods and large quantities of small parts simultaneously within a single racking system. We therefore offer our customers a solution that enables them to make their workflows more flexible, economical, and ergonomic.

3. Storage of pallets

Thanks to a newly developed shelf technology, the Shuttle XP 1000 is also suitable for use as a pallet rack, as the model can accommodate up to two pallets standing next to each other.

The Euro pallets are placed into an optional manual or automatic pallet tray pull-out system using a forklift, and can then be stored directly. This new form of pallet storage further reduces storage and production space, as it allows pallets to be stored up to 20 meters long. Furthermore, it enables faster access to goods stored on pallets. The time-consuming loading and unloading of pallets is eliminated, as is the need for high-bay forklifts.

4. Integrated lifting crane

For the first time, the Shuttle XP 1000 offers customers the option of using storage lifts with a factory-installed crane. This enables the handling of heavy parts directly at the workstation using an integrated lifting crane.

Thanks to the integrated lifting crane in the industrial lift, even heavy loads weighing up to one ton can be stored and retrieved efficiently and easily. Using the factory-installed crane, loads are placed directly onto the shelves of the storage system. The electrically operated crane can extend to the full extension of the shelves to pick up and place heavy goods. No additional foundation is required for installation, and there is no need to install an external lifting or jib crane. Further advantages include the fast and safe storage of heavy goods on shelves, improved ergonomics and safety for personnel, and the ability to easily relocate the entire system, including the crane.
