Satisfaction with your own investments in Germany - year-on-year comparison
This statistic shows the results of a survey on the satisfaction of German investors with the returns on their investments. According to the survey, which is representative of the resident population in Germany, around 57 percent of the investors surveyed were satisfied with the performance of their investments at the end of 2020, compared to only around 41 percent at the end of the previous year.
“Were you generally satisfied or not satisfied with the performance of your investments this year?” – This question was only asked to people who had invested money. A total of 1,001 people were interviewed for the survey. Some of the older values were taken from previous year's publications.

This statistic shows the savings rates of private households in selected countries worldwide in the period from 1995 to 2019. The net saving of private households is shown as a percentage of disposable income. In 2019, the savings rate of private households in Italy was around 2.7 percent.
Global gross financial assets of private households
In 2018, the global gross financial assets of private households amounted to around 172.5 trillion euros. That is around 0.1 percent less than in the previous year. This means that global private wealth has shrunk for the first time since the 2008 financial crisis - albeit only minimally. So far, private financial assets have always increased during the period under review.

Survey to assess the financial situation of the population in Germany
Germans' satisfaction with their finances is declining slightly - according to the 2020 wealth barometer from the German Savings Banks and Giro Association, around 42 percent of Germans rate their current financial situation as very good to good. Last year it was 43 percent. Overall, however, the proportion of people who are satisfied with their financial situation has more than doubled in the past 15 years.
