Again and again there is criticism that the sluggish fiber optic expansion Germany makes more like a developing country. Compared to other countries, the proportion is actually quite mau. However, data from the VATM that even the existing potential is not exhausted. As the infographic shows, there are currently more than twice as many so -called “connectable” households than there are households that actually surf over fiber optic. FTTB or FTTH means fiber-to-the-building and fiber-to-the-home, i.e. fibers to the house or up to the apartment.
