Snapchat lost users for the first time in the past quarter. The competition is certainly not entirely innocent. Facebook has long since cloned the Stories concept and successively integrated into all the company's apps. Since then, Snapchat has been in a crisis without a visible way out: The platform has been robbed of its unique selling point. To make matters worse, the clone warriors are even more successful than the original. Both Instagram and WhatsApp status have had more active users than Snapchat since last year – Facebook Stories could follow over the course of the year.
