The majority of Germans believe their city is lagging behind in digitalization. This is the result of a recent survey by the digital association Bitkom .
In the survey, 30 percent rated the level of digitalization in their city or municipality as not at all advanced. 34 percent find it rather underdeveloped. Only seven percent of Germans are very satisfied with the digitalization of their place of residence, as the Statista graphic shows.
There is great interest in improving digitalization: More than half of those surveyed (57 percent) can imagine living in a city with many digital services, according to the study.
