The European Football Benchmark estimates the Bundesliga's fan potential in England, Spain, Italy and France at 26 million - nine million of them in the homeland of calcio alone. Of the top 5 European football leagues, the Premier League (65 million foreign fans) has by far the greatest appeal, ahead of the top Spanish league. The French Ligue 1 has the least appeal (20 million foreign fans.)
