The vast majority of Germans consider artificial intelligence (AI) to be useful. This emerges from a current survey by the auditing and consulting firm PwC. For example, almost half of those surveyed believe that AI will prove useful in the area of cybersecurity in the future. But the study participants also have a lot of confidence in non-human minds in the fight against climate change and in cancer research.
What is artificial intelligence?
80 percent of German beliefs surveyed for a survey of Pegasystems know what artificial intelligence (AI) is all about. A majority understands the ability of devices and software to think logically (58 percent), to learn (57 percent) and to solve problems (52 percent). In contrast, emotions mentioned only 15 percent as a AI characteristic. It would be interesting to know whether it was an openly formulated question . In any case, that would explain how to "control the human mind" or "to take over the world" into the study.
