A development is emerging in the USA that could become a problem for Facebook. Of around 3,400 Facebook users in the US surveyed by the Pew Research Center, 42 percent said they had stopped using the social network for a few weeks or more in the last year. One in four respondents said they had deleted the app from their smartphone. This could have serious financial consequences for Facebook. Because North America is responsible for 47 percent of revenue, with only eleven percent of users.
