The circulation of national daily newspapers has shrunk to 2.45 million copies – a decrease of 7.1 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2017. But while most papers are experiencing a relatively gradual decline, Bild is shrinking rapidly. Compared to the previous quarter, the circulation of the tabloid (including BZ and Fußballbild) has fallen by approximately 101,000 copies. This is according to current data from the Information Community for Determining the Circulation of Advertising Media (IVW) for the fourth quarter of 2018. Expressed as a percentage, this represents a decline of 6.3 percent compared to the previous quarter and nine percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
