All shrink, but BILD shrinks fastest

The sold circulation of the national daily newspapers has shrunk to 2.45 million copies - 7.1 percent less than in the fourth quarter of 2017. But while it is a more leisurely decline for most papers, the Bild is shrinking at a gallop. Compared to the previous quarter, the circulation of the tabloid newspaper (including BZ and Fussballbild) fell by around 101,000 copies. This emerges from current data from the information community for determining the distribution of advertising media (IVW) for the fourth quarter of 2018. Expressed as a percentage, this means a decline of 6.3 percent compared to the previous quarter and nine percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
