77 percent of Internet users in Germany shop online. This emerges from a current press release from the Federal Statistical Office. Of the online shoppers in the first quarter of 2018, less than half (46 percent) spent between 100 and less than 500 euros on goods and services online. Around 14 percent spent 500 euros or more. By far the most popular category is clothing and shoes (67 percent), furniture, toys and other consumer goods (52 percent) and vacation accommodation (42 percent).
