Auf mehr als 1,7 Billionen US-Dollar taxieren die Analysten von Kantar den Umsatz der zehn größten Einzelhändler der Welt im laufenden Jahr. Das Spitzentrio des Rankings bilden die US-Unternehmen Walmart, Amazon und Costco. Dahinter liegt mit rund 133 Milliarden US-Dollar die deutsche Schwarz-Gruppe zu der Lidl und Kaufland gehören. Mit Aldi gibt es außerdem noch einen weiteren deutschen Vertreter in den den Top 10, wie der Blick auf sie Grafik zeigt. Dahinter folgen mit JD.com (China) und Carrefour (Frankreich) die einzigen weiteren nichtamerikanischen Unternehmen.
The analysts at Kantar estimate the turnover of the world’s ten largest retailers in the current year at more than 1.7 trillion US dollars. The top trio in the ranking are the US companies Walmart, Amazon and Costco. Behind them is the German Schwarz Group, to which Lidl and Kaufland belong, with around 133 billion US dollars. With Aldi there is also another German representative in the top 10, as a look at their graphics shows. Behind them follow JD.com (China) and Carrefour (France), the only other non-US companies.
